We are ecstatic to share that Crisp Founder & CEO Michael Mogill was recently named an Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2023 winner by Ernst & Young LLP (EY US).

Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates ambitious entrepreneurs who are building a better world. The program is one of the preeminent competitive awards for entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies.

Michael Mogill was selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous award winners, leading CEOs, investors, and other regional business leaders. The candidates were evaluated based on their demonstration of building long-term value through entrepreneurial spirit, purpose, growth, and impact, among other core contributions and attributes.

“I am honored and humbled to be named an Entrepreneur Of The Year winner for 2023,” says Mogill. “I don’t take winning this award lightly or for granted, and I owe my success to the never-ending support and commitment of my team. Winning this is a testament to the power of teamwork, and being able to lead such a talented group of people is one of the greatest honors I could ever receive. I know that together we’ll continue to surpass expectations, break new ground, and create a legacy that will inspire thousands and thousands of people in the future.”

Crisp EVOLVE Summit

Mogill’s selection as a winner of this award is a testament to his unwavering dedication and innovative mindset. Under his leadership, Crisp has experienced tremendous growth and success, transforming the legal industry with its cutting-edge solutions and client-centric approach. Mogill’s ability to navigate challenges, foster a culture of collaboration, and drive innovation has propelled Crisp to become a recognized industry leader.

Crisp has been named to the Top 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in Atlanta eight years in a row [2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023] by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, earned the distinction of Top Workplace in Atlanta two years in a row [2022, 2023], and has been recognized on the Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Private Companies in the U.S. six years running [2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022] — notably earning spots in the Top 10% two years in a row.

But you don’t get awards and recognitions like that for no reason. Crisp has walked their talk from the very beginning.

The Genesis of Crisp

Mogill’s entrepreneurial journey began when he founded Crisp in 2012. Through his visionary leadership and commitment to excellence, he has propelled the company to achieve unprecedented growth and success. Crisp has become renowned for taking everything Michael has learned while generating massive growth in his own organization and helping the country’s most committed law firm owners do the same for theirs. The company does this by equipping their clients with world-class legal video, relentless digital marketing, the top leadership and management coaching and workshop programs in the legal industry, and proven strategies to empower and align their teams.

“I absolutely couldn’t have done this alone,” reflects Mogill. “This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire Crisp team. Together, we have built an organization that is redefining the legal landscape. I am grateful for the opportunity to lead such a talented group of individuals.”

That group of A-players has helped him build an empire on a mission to help 1,000 law firms grow their revenue by $1,000,000 each ($1B+ impact) by 2024 — and it starts with the initiatives they’re creating and improving every day at Crisp HQ.

Breaking Into the Legal Industry

Crisp Coach is a comprehensive resource that equips law firm owners and their teams with the necessary strategies and tools for exponential business growth — but Crisp Coach members will only get out what they put in.

The program aims to help law firm owners to make calculated decisions, gain confidence through clarity, and learn to think like a market leader. It is completely unlike any other coaching program in the country — and that’s exactly why it’s been recognized as the #1 law firm coaching program in the country. With a 94% renewal rate and an average $3.2M two-year growth rate, it’s no wonder why law firm owners everywhere trust Crisp Coach to get them to where they want to go.

The Introduction of Crisp Ventures

In classic Mogill fashion, optimizing the Crisp Coach program wasn’t enough for his goal of making law firms everywhere more effective and efficient. That’s why he recently unveiled CaptureNow, the legal industry’s first and only automated, interactive response solution that ensures every call to your law firm is immediately answered 24/7/365. While the missed call percentage used to be 14%, with CaptureNow it’s zero, while taking the average wait time down from 56 seconds to zero.

The entire mission of Crisp Ventures is to help lawyer-owned firms remain competitive by bringing greater access to innovative solutions that allow legal practices to operate more efficiently and effectively — and that’s exactly what it’s done and will continue to do.

Another day, another innovation for this entrepreneur.

Journey to Crisp HQ

Having already generated over $1 billion in revenue for its members, Crisp Coach regularly welcomes leaders to Crisp’s state-of-the-art Training Center, which is capable of accommodating up to 250 individuals at a time. The Training Center boasts modular walls, allowing the space to be divided into three rooms, facilitating multiple training sessions concurrently and maximizing the impact.

Tuning Into The Game Changing Attorney Podcast

In addition to new initiatives, Mogill has experienced substantial success through his immensely popular podcast, The Game Changing Attorney Podcast, which has become the most widely listened-to podcast among legal market leaders. While it began at the height of the pandemic in 2020, the show now features more than 150 episodes with prominent figures from the legal industry and beyond. The podcast connects a wide variety of leaders, providing listeners with valuable insights, ideas, and growth strategies on a weekly basis.

Reading Between the Lines of The Game Changing Attorney

In tandem with his influential podcast, Mogill’s debut book The Game Changing Attorney has reached the top position as an Amazon best-seller in the legal marketing category. This book not only educates readers on effectively positioning their law firms to their target audience but also provides actionable strategies for cutting through the noise, capturing the attention of their ideal clients, and outshining the competition.

The Largest Law Firm Growth Conference on the Planet

Since its inception in 2018, the Crisp Game Changers Summit has evolved into the largest law firm growth conference in the world, transforming the lives of thousands of law firm owners across the nation. Past Summit venues have included the renowned Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and true to Crisp’s style, they have ambitious plans to make the event even more impactful in 2023.

And unveiled at the Summit was the extensive Crisp ecosystem, and it’s clear that this organization is far from done with executing their big goals:

Giving Back to a Game Changing Cause

Crisp is committed to building a brighter future for all and has demonstrated its support for non-profit organizations such as Bert’s Big Adventure. At the Game Changers Summit 2022, they successfully raised $200,000 to contribute to this cause. Bert’s Big Adventure is an organization that offers an enchanting, fully-funded, five-day trip to Walt Disney World for children who suffer from chronic and terminal illnesses, along with their families.

Investing in Crisp’s A-Players

While Mogill is absolutely focused on changing the lives of law firm owners and families everywhere, he hasn’t forgotten about the team that’s been so vital in making Crisp a strong, successful organization. That’s why Crisp annually invests over $1,000,000 in team member benefits, providing 100% coverage on health, vision, and dental.

Creating a better future starts with investing in our people. Mogill never wants any of his team members to be concerned with their health and well-being — and he wants to live as a powerful example of what multiplying impact looks like.
