How We Helped
Silverman Theologou joined Crisp Coach in 2023 to construct the infrastructure to better manage their growth brick by brick.
Building Vision and Culture
The firm’s coach got them started by helping the firm create their vision statement. This meant clarifying the firm’s mission and core values, while getting everyone moving in the same direction so that the team’s values were aligned.
Implementing Operational Excellence
From there, their Crisp Coach introduced the firm to process-driven execution.
“Our Crisp Coach had us work on issues like ‘Okay, now let’s focus on the nitty gritty,'” Theologou noted. “Making lists. Figuring out what needs to get done. What are our short-term goals?”
Theologou now leads an operations team that meets weekly. “Every person in the management position has really benefited significantly with Crisp,” Silverman said.
Creating External Accountability
To prevent critical work from slipping, the firm’s Crisp Coach established monthly and quarterly check-ins to ensure everyone meets agreed-upon milestones.
“To have Crisp monitor our activity monthly and quarterly… it really holds feet to the fire,” Silverman explained. “If we didn’t have these meetings, it would be harder to prioritize what needed to get done. We’d have lists, but we wouldn’t have the structure we needed to complete tasks in a timely manner.”
Systematic Hiring Through Crisp Coach
The firm replaced reactive hiring with a comprehensive process, including thorough job postings and candidate assessments.
Where They Are Today
Silverman Theologou now operates across 10 states from four offices and has the systems in place to continue to scale at a manageable pace.
“I’ve watched lots of businesses hyper grow and fail,” Silverman said. “What Crisp has done in helping us manage our growth is phenomenal.”
Additionally, his firm’s new website reflects what they’ve become: a sophisticated operation capable of serving institutional clients at scale.
“In my experience, I truly believe that an attorney or law firm that understands that a law practice is a business that needs to be managed just like any other business, and with that understanding utilizes your services to help them manage, scale and grow their business, is going to be successful.”
Growth alone isn’t success. Managed growth is success. The difference is having the systems, people development, and accountability structures that allow a firm to scale without breaking.
