Growth IS possible — even in a time as crazy as this.

In the latest installment of Leading Through Adversity, Crisp Founder & CEO Michael Mogill is joined by Duana Boswell-Loechel of Boswell Law Firm to hear about how her shift in mindset and commitment to success has led her to exponential growth over the past two months.

1:05 – Move forward. “We were already struggling a little bit, and now people aren’t going to be purchasing services. I listened to a lot of Hal Elrod. I’m a firm believer in that five minutes. You get to whine and complain for five minutes, and then you have to sit down and figure out what you’re going to do and move forward. That’s what I did. COVID allowed me to see where all the weaknesses were in the business, and what was being done and what wasn’t.”

4:00 – Facebook Live. “I had a lot of in-person speaking arranged in early March, and all of those got shut down. I’ve been able to find Zoom speaking engagements with groups. Facebook Live has been the most successful. I think it makes people more comfortable reaching out to me. The conversion rate for the ones that actually call and make an appointment is at about 85%.”

7:09 – Be present. “It is important to be present in your business. Before, I was trying to build things up and was out of the office a lot of networking and going to events. I trusted that everything was being done the way I thought it was being done. Now, since COVID, it’s reduced travel time. I’ve had a lot more time to dive in and get things set up the way I want it so it’s done the same every time.”

9:10 – Resisted social media. “I was that person for a long time that resisted doing Facebook Lives and social media, but I saw the effects that it’s had and how easy it is. It’s putting your face out there with who you are so that people feel like they know you when they call you. It’s making sure that your name is familiar.”

10:07 – Grow the firm. “We’re looking at doing some more subscription services. I believe we are just going to keep growing. We’re adding a new staff member today to handle the increase. Hopefully, we’re going to be adding an attorney or two in the next few months.”
