Meet the First-Ever Women Legal Leaders Panel: Crisp Game Changers Summit 3 Featured Speakers
5–6 minutes to read
Mothers. Lawyers. Wives. Business owners. Badasses. The game changers of the Women Legal Leaders Panel envision a new way forward for legal practice that brings compassion and unapologetic authenticity to every case, smashing revenue and industry records along the way.
At the Crisp Game Changers Summit 3 (November 5-6, 2021 in Atlanta, GA) — for the first time ever — these women will be brought together on stage to share how they broke down barriers to achieve previously unimaginable levels of success and grow their practices to where they are today.
Why Women Legal Leaders Matter
The first woman to become a lawyer was Arabella Mansfield in 1869. Since then, women make up 37.6% of the legal profession (the highest number of women in legal to-date) with 10,000 more women in law schools than men. Despite the number of women increasing in law school every year, only 21.3% of women in the field are equity partners at their firm, with even fewer owning their own firms.
The obstacles standing between women starting in the field and leading in the field is one the Women Legal Leaders Panel is all too familiar with and they are joining the Crisp Game Changers Summit to share their learnings and what it means to be a Female Game Changer in the legal industry.
Who are the panelists?
Since 2013, Sara Williams has made a name for herself at Alexander Shunnarah Trial Attorneys. A name that is fiercely her own. When she’s not getting it done in the courtroom — as she frequently is — Sara advances the role of women and people of color in the legal field by promoting the importance of authenticity and asking for what you deserve.
Always a straight shooter, Sara will share how she has created an image for herself and embraced her authentic voice instead of taming it to drive growth for herself and her career.
The success of the Flood Law Firm over the past eight years, expanding from just four people to a team of nearly 50, is no accident. Director of Operations Rachel Flood keeps a steadfast focus on helping injured clients and supporting the community over all else, achieving tremendous growth in the process.
An operational genius, Rachel will delve into how operations is the unsung hero of growth at a law firm.
As a Russian immigrant, Mariam Kuregyan used to believe going to law school was in the realm of the impossible. Used to. After practicing law within multi-million and billion-dollar media companies, she is now the lead attorney of her highly-awarded professional law corporation, Davana Law Firm. Oh, and she speaks three languages.
Her unique experience will provide invaluable insights on how having unique backgrounds and facing adversity can translate into success.
Samantha Ball is a Partner of Disability Attorneys of Michigan. In defining her professional career, Sam knew that she needed to focus on work that empowered her to be the difference in people’s lives. Her drive to do work that matters has given a voice to thousands of people with disabilities in Michigan, helping them access the Social Security benefits they deserve.
Sam will share how purpose translates to profits.
