Partners (and spouses) Greg and Jany founded their firm specifically with a goal to contribute to the Hispanic community’s legal needs after individuals suffer car accidents. They noticed early on that even in a community like Miami, where a large portion of the population speaks Spanish, there weren’t many lawyers dedicated only to Spanish-speaking clients.
When they saw the gap in care, they took the opportunity to seize their niche — and it’s paid off big time in the long run.
Greg and Jany niched down to build up, and now they’re one of the fastest-growing firms in the state. As they grow, their focus remains on creating the law firm of the future, weaving incredible culture into their team all the while.
Jany Martinez-Ward
Born in Cuba, Jany immigrated to the United States about 20 years ago. She has experienced firsthand the challenges that immigrants face in the complex and intimidating US legal system. Because of her early experiences, Jany chose to dedicate her life to helping her community’s legal needs. She has been recognized as a Top attorney in Florida and earned a “Top 40 Under 40” status from the National Trial Lawyers Association in 2018.
In her day-to-day work, Jany leads the firm’s Pre-Litigation Department assisting clients with everything from paperwork to counseling. Her expertise lies in quality client service — she is largely responsible for increasing the Ward Law Group client base from just a few personal injury clients in 2013 to over eight hundred active files today.
Greg Ward
As an experienced attorney who once represented insurance companies, Greg has a deep understanding of how they operate and what aspects can create or diminish the value of the cases he represents. This knowledge has led him to become a gifted negotiator and litigator on behalf of his clients.
Teaming up with his wife has empowered them to grow their firm exponentially. Greg says that people often ask how he can work so closely with his wife, but his response is always, “How could I not?”

“The first big challenge we overcame was the catalyst to our growth. I lost our biggest client because I had been undercut in the fees by a friend of mine. It looked dire for us. We thought we were going to go out of business,” Greg explained in an interview with Crisp Founder & CEO Michael Mogill.
Greg continues: “Really living our values, I feel, was the turning point because that was the biggest fear factor at the very beginning. Going forward powerfully was a huge step and a big breakthrough for us. We’re big drivers and we want to grow, but you can never forget where you came from.”
