Show Notes:
Generosity has no downside. “It feels good, it helps people, and it always comes back around.”
The best recurring revenue model is built on referrals. “If I do it right, everybody has friends. Everybody knows somebody who’s going to need a family lawyer. And if they say when you need them, go to him — that’s my recurring revenue stream.”
Abundance beats scarcity every time. “I’ve never been worried about competition. More good lawyers means better outcomes, and I love working with good lawyers.”
Do more of what works for you. “If taking lawyers to lunch has generated the most business for you, then go to three lunches in one day. You don’t have to do everything — just do more of what you’re good at.”
Protect your reputation by helping others. “When somebody calls and says I need a lawyer in California, it takes me two minutes to connect them. I’m making everyone happy, and my name stays associated with being the one who helps.”
